Original Work Week!

This week has been a little bit hectic so far since my original work is finally due by this Friday. Overall, I am super excited to show Mrs. Pedrero my new progress. As of today, I have completely finished the face of my semi abstract inspired portrait, as well as my mini abstracts and my two larger abstract pieces. I have scheduled a mentor visit with her via zoom for this thursday to hone in on her suggestions and make any last minute touch ups to my pieces. By my mentor visit with her, I am hoping to have all of my pieces mostly complete and I hope to have at least one of my artist statements complete. For my artist statements, I am planning on writing one large statement for the three mini abstracts, one for my large, yellow limited palette painting, and one for my final semi abstract. These artist statements are inspired by the posts that Mrs. Pedrero makes her own pieces of art. By the end of this week, my goal is to have my entire original work done with their completed titles, statements, and reflection. Overall, I am super excited to share my work with Mrs. Pedrero and continue my journey in becoming an overall better artist.
