One Down, One to GO!

This week, I wasn’t able to meet up with my mentor due to the onset of a COVID-19 related incident. Luckily, she was very understanding about the situation and offered for us to chat via zoom instead. Due to the increased time I’ve had to work on my pieces, I have actually completely finished one of the pieces for my original work. It is completely abstract, and it arose in an intuitive way. Although I was not able to utilize some of the materials from Mrs. Pedrero’s studio that would have otherwise elevated my piece, I was still able to create something that was based off of a solid theme and conveyed a universal emotion, which I researched further in my research assessments. Overall, I am very proud of my progress thus far and I cannot wait to upload my progress pictures to Mrs. Pedrero as soon as I get the chance. For the weeks to come, my major goal over thanksgiving break is to finish my two pieces and get the google form, abstract, and introduction primed and ready to go. I also want to continue researching more psychology-related articles and case studies in regards to neural image processing of abstract works of art.
