This week, I’ve ended up revising my original work plan to include three paintings in addition to my small abstracts. I’ve revised my original work plan in order to pay more attention to my artistic development. I did not want to feel like I was rushing myself to complete my work, rather, I wanted to make sure I was completing my pieces to the best of my ability without compromising my style and energy. With that in mind, I will be completing three big works of art with accompanying small series abstracts. With each painting and series, I will be typing a full fledged explanation about the purpose of each painting, the intent, and how it has contributed to my artistic journey within ISM. I have already completed my two large abstract paintings, and I am planning on finishing my other large semi-abstract oil painting by this weekend. Overall, I have had such an amazing time painting and figuring out my unique style. My semi-abstract oil painting is inspired by one of the whimsical nature portraits that Mrs. Pedrero had shown me around during my last mentor visit. For the rest of this week, I will reconnect with Mrs. Pedrero since Thanksgiving break and I will schedule a zoom meeting for us to discuss my revised original work plan and the rest of my paintings.
