Fresh Out of Winter Break!

This week, one of my major goals is to continue working and developing my art pieces. Since my last mentor visit with my mentor Mrs. Pedrero, I had an idea to sketch out some lemons and create a bowl of lemons for a piece. This piece would counteract the recent abstract pieces that I created, without compromising my artistic style. Moreover, this piece would also be in theme with what is selling, popular, and “desirable” in the real world now. Overall, I am extremely excited to start this new piece and see if I can recreate the imagination that I have in my head onto the canvas. Over the course of the past couple of weeks, I’ve made some considerable progress on some new pieces. During the winter break, I completed two new abstract pieces that I am excited to show Mrs. Pedrero this Friday. I am also currently working on another abstract piece that I need her help on. For my mentor visit this Friday, I will be taking my two new, completed abstracts, my abstracts in development, and a blank canvas to begin my lemon piece. My main goal this week is to make some progress on my abstract in development, while starting on either the lemon piece or another painting I put on hold.
